Come join us on November 27, 2019 at the Boardmore Playhouse located at Cape Breton Universtiy for the screening of CONVICTION. Conviction envisions alternatives to prison through the eyes of women behind bars and those fighting on the front lines of the decarceration movement. The film will begin at 6:30pm, doors open at 6:00pm, and entry by donation.

We hope that the screening of CONVICTION will raise awareness around issues criminalized women face in our community and what people can do to help. It will also be the kick off to  our capital fundraising campaign.

Accessibility Project

The Elizabeth Fry Society of Cape Breton is proud to announce that our facility is now wheel-chair accessible! We would like to extend our appreciation and thanks to the Community Entity for funding our Accessibility Project and making this website possible, as well as, making our community residential facility wheel-chair accessible. This will eliminate barriers to access our programs and services to women and girls in need.

We would also like to extend our thanks to RAW Renovators and Builders for doing such a wonderful job in making the Satellite Apartment accessible. You may reach RAW Renovators and Builders at (902) 578-6714.
